Participants will review the ARD documents in Embrace in order to gain an better understanding of how the structure of the IEP is the foundation for provision of a student’s special education supports and services.
Participants will leave with knowledge that allows them to understand why students with autism might behave the way that they do. They will learn how to utilize student's unique learning styles to help them learn most effectively.
Participants will gain an understanding of a variety of behavior rating scales provided within the Q-Global platform to use when completing FIEs. Highlighted assessments will include the Brown Executive Function/Attention Scales and the Delis-Rating of Executive Functions .

Participants will gain a basic level of understanding the impact of disabilities in our students that receive services in the BSS program, targeted interventions and how to support students and staff in implementation of the program.
Participants will acquire fundamental knowledge about dyslexia, its impact on students, and the regulations surrounding instruction and case management.
This training will provide an overview of the current curriculum in our BSS classrooms, allow for planning time and take a deeper dive into how to implement social skills instruction in the BSS setting.
Participants will understand how to recognize varying levels of engagement in their students and will learn where to go next to support increased engagement.
